Os Portishead regressam a Portugal a 26 e 27 e Março, para dois concertos nos Coliseus do Porto e de Lisboa, respectivamente.

O anúncio acaba de ser feito pela promotora dos espectáculos, a Everything Is New.

É o regresso da banda de Beth Gibbons a Portugal, cerca de 10 anos após a última actuação.

Na bagagem, o grupo britânico deverá trazer um novo álbum de originais, com edição prevista para dia 14 de Abril.

Vamos ao teatro?

Saturday night fever.. and movies

Para alguém como eu que não tem tv por cabo, no fim de semana passado estava somewhat deprê, o tempo estava péssimo no Oeste, não apetecia ir até ao vídeoclube, e não está habituada a ver televisão seja que progama for, as dobradinhas de filmes apresentados pela RTP2 ou SIC salvaram as noites.

Pude finalmente ver o La Mala Educación de Almodóvar, mais um under my belt, embora ainda me faltam clássicos do senhor como o Todo sobre mí madre ou o Habla con Ella. Creio que o vídeoclube não os tenha.. mas ao menos posso gabar-me de ter visto um dos early movies do senhor, Negros Habitos, do melhor :)

Voltando à Má Educação (acho que foi assim traduzido), gostei bastante, não só das performances como do enredo não linear. E sim meninas, o Gael está muy bién :)

Logo a seguir, rever um dos filmes mais intrigantes que me passou pelo ecrã: Mulholland Drive. O truque para apreciar este filme é não procurar encontrar qualquer lógica. Apreciar cada cena como um quadro independente. E claro, o Llorando cantado à capela num shitty teatro de Los Angeles continua a arrepiar-me.

Fim de semana actual: stucked @ home com uma gripe do piorio, acompanhada de uma infecção nos brônquios, how nice..
Depois de uma 6ª Feira de inferno, com febre e dores no corpo todo que me impediram de ir trabalhar e ao médico tão pouco (embora tivesse forças para um late nite cinema, isso sempre!, que infelizmente não se confirmou), seguiu-se um Sábado de convalescença on drugs devidamente legalizadas e prescritas pela sra dra.



E eis que novamente a televisões para o povão me brindam com um pack de movies muito interessante. O primeiro de todos foi o Signs de M. Night Shyamalan, que já tinha visto numa das movie sessions @ Oeste e que agradavelmente revi. Fui surpreendida por este filme, dado que achava à partida que o Mel Gibson não iria corresponder ao espírito deste tipo de estórias.


Mas o sr está muito bem, assim como o restante elenco. Destaque para o Joaquin Phoenix, que deixa antever a boa performance em The Village, o filme seguinte do mesmo realizador, e, claro, a minha querida Abigail Breslin que eu adoro adoro desde e sempre de um dos filmes que mais gostei de ver no cinema: Little Miss Sunshine. No Signs está mais garotita, mas inconfundível e impossível de não ser notada.

Findo o Signs na SIC, mudo para a RTP2 em busca dos filmes da semana, e eis que senão quando (adoro esta expressão) me deparo com aquele que é um dos meus all time filmes favoritos. Embora só o tenha visto uma vez de fio a pavio, posteriormente tenho visto pedaços aleatórios quando passa na tv, este filme é poderosíssimo a todos os níveis (interpretação, realização, argumento, produção).

Falo de Breaking the Waves (em tuguês Ondas de Paixão, mas prefiro o título no original; é arrebator), cuja tagline é: Love is a mighty power. Retrata uma bonita história de amor, simples mas profunda, sujeita a condicionalismos sociais e religiosos, com um crescendo emocional bastante intenso, que provoca uma sensação fulgurante em todos os sentidos.

Paralelamente ao que de bom este filme tem, sempre admirei a personagem da pequena Bess, simples e childlike, que possui um amor incondicional pelo seu Jan, ao ponto de se esquecer de si própria. Aqui o "para sempre" está espelhado, e dá um pouco de esperança de o reconhecer quando um dia ele passar por nós, caso venha a acontecer.

Já algum tempo que não falava de cinema neste blogue. Bem, o mesmo é aleatório pelo que não deve satisfações a ninguém. No entanto, não resisto a olhar para trás e reflectir em como nestes últimos tempos (meses?) eu não tive muitas oportunidades de ser eu em pleno, de dar o melhor de mim, de me dedicar e dar tempo ao que realmente devia dar e dedicar. E acho que teria feito diferença.

E agora tenho de ir dormir qualquer coisa.

Actores estão solidários com a greve dos argumentistas e anulam festa

A cerimónia dos Globos de Ouro, prevista para domingo, foi anulada esta segunda-feira devido à greve dos argumentistas, informou o Los Angeles Times online.

Os actores terão decidido solidarizar-se com a luta dos guionistas, cancelando a cerimónia glamorosa que habitualmente envolve a entrega de prémios.

Os laureados das recompensas mais prestigiosas de Hollywood, a seguir aos Óscares, serão anunciados numa conferência de imprensa que se realizará domingo.

Este início de ano está a ser algo turbulento. Parece que tudo está a acontecer ao mesmo tempo a mim ou a pessoas que me são próximas:
familiares que partem, crianças que nascem, amigos que em desespero tentam partir, amigos que lutam para ficar, parceiros que se separam, metades que se reencontram.

Nos blogs encontro posts de tristeza e saudade, posts de esperança e alegria.

É complicado gerir tantos sentimentos ao mesmo tempo, e ainda assim continuar.

Infelizmente não sou dotada de equipamento de controlo de tráfego emocional.

A vida exige demais de nós? Ou apenas aquilo que conseguimos corresponder?

Calçar o número 37 e não encontrar oferta disponível no período de saldos é desesperante. Já nem falo em moda, é mesmo necessidade absoluta em investir em calçado.

Ao contrário da maioria da moças, que adoram sapatos e têm caixas e armários cheios, sou muito arredia a comprar calçado. Porque sou esquisita com os modelitos que surgem, porque é caro, porque os sapatos que tenho vão dando, and so on.

Este Inverno cheguei ao limite. Só me falta andar com a sola rota.
Então chegou a hora de investir em botas! Mas são tão caras... vou esperar pelos Saldos, disse eu no início da estação, que este ano são mais cedo, e vou logo nos primeiros dias.

Foi a frustração. Botas a meu gosto até houve na colecção deste ano. Agora o tamanho 37, está quieto!

Até descobrir a Seaside :)

A Seaside anda a rondar-me há anos, ao colocar os seus catálogos na minha caixa do correio. Mas é longe (há duas lojas na Baixa, for Christ sake!), as lojas são pequenas, pouca oferta, a megastore é em Frielas, blá blá blá whiskas saquetas blá blá blá

Mas a megastore da Seaside em Alfragide mudou tudo (e a necessidade também, confesso)!

E finalmente quebrei o enguiço do 37 nos Saldos, e fiz aquilo que considero um excelente investimento.


A ver se consigo também quebrar o enguiço dos meus muitos "mas" e medos que minam o meu modo de ser e me fazem perder

Sábado passado fui pela 1ª vez ver ópera. Gostei bastante, apesar do fresquinho que estava no Pavilhão Atlântico. A malta, remediada como é, comprou o bilhete mais barato, para as gaiolas no Nível 2. No entanto, à entrada fomos presenteados com um upgrade para o Nível 1, se não nos importassemos. Se é para melhor, porque não? :)

Quando entrámos percebemos o porquê de transferirem as pessoas. Só devem ter vendido para Nível 2 e Plateia VIP. É o espelho da realidade do nosso país, a classe média está a desaparecer.

Quanto à Carmen de Bizet, é realmente uma história apaixonante. Para mais info, consultar o programa dos pobres: Carmen

Foi pena não ter visto o último acto, o mais importante na verdade, mas valores mais altos se impunham - tatas!!! :)

Música!

Em 2008 vou fazer as pazes com a música.

Estamos meio afastadas desde a década de 90, quando a descobri, e todo o seu passado das décadas de 70 e 80.

Depois, por motivos que nunca consegui explicar, desliguei-me.

Fiquei locked in the 80's, numa época que foi muito boa para mim.

E quer queiramos, quer não, a música é a banda sonora da vida. Grandes canções que hoje não conseguimos ouvir sem nos lembrarmo-nos de certos momentos.

Entretanto, a música foi evoluindo, ano após ano, novos sons, novas bandas, novos nomes.

Que não chegaram até mim.

Este será o ano de os o ouvir.

E ao vivo de preferência.

Concertos, gigs, festivais, whatever.

Vai ser um ano com muita música.

A sensação que tenho é que estes últimos meses passaram a correr. Os minutos, as horas, os dias, as semanas, atropelaram-se numa sucessão de gestos iguais.
Neste blogue constam pequenos flashes desse tempo que passou. Mas faltam muitos e bons apontamentos dignos do seu registo.

Uma prostituta chilena vai colaborar com a Fundação Teletón, que trabalha com crianças desfavorecidas e com problemas de saúde

A profissional do sexo decidiu trabalhar durante 27 horas seguidas, entre hoje e amanhã, oferecendo os proveitos à instituição, com o lema ‘Ponte com a Teletón’. Maria Carolina, uma morena de olhos verdes, diz que «doará 27 horas de amor», a 300 dólares cada hora e meia, projectando-se uma receita de 5.400 dólares.

Gueixa de 98 anos ainda atrai clientela

A tradição das gueixas tem perdido força no Japão moderno, mas Kokin, de 98 anos, a mais velha profissional em actividade no país, continua a atrair a atenção.


Kokin, apelido de Kayo Kaburaki, canta e toca um instrumento de cordas tradicional - shamisen - no balneário de Atami, perto da capital, Tóquio. A gueixa já abandonou a dança e a maquilhagem elaborada.

Ao contrário do que se pensa, as gueixas japonesas não são prostitutas. São mulheres que entretêm os homens com boa conversa, dança e música. Kokin diz que ainda está interessada em encontrar homens jovens, mas como amiga. Namorado, diz que não arranja mais.

Sexo e chocolate estimulam cérebro

Fazer sexo, comer chocolate amargo e comer ovos ou peixe ao pequeno almoço pode ser o segredo para treinar e impulsionar a capacidade cerebral, informa o jornal «Folha de São Paulo», que cita a tese incluída no livro «Teaching Yourself: Training Your Brain (Ensine-se a você mesmo: treine o seu cérebro).
Na obra, os autores Terry Horne e Simon Wootin, analisam como a dieta, o ambiente e o stresse afectam a capacidade mental das pessoas. Grande parte das sugestões tem como base substâncias químicas libertadas no organismo a partir de certas actividades, como fazer sexo.

Segundo o estudo, a penetração durante o acto sexual aumenta os níveis de oxitocina, que estimula o cérebro a pensar em novas ideias e soluções para problemas, enquanto que o pós-coito aumenta a quantidade de serotonina, estimulando a criatividade e o pensamento lógico.
Em relação à comida, os autores acreditam que os ingredientes encontrados no chocolate amargo, como magnésio e antioxidantes, aumentam a oxigenação cerebral. E comer frios, ovos ou peixes durante o pequeno-almoço dá mais energia e facilita a absorção de nutrientes pelo organismo.

«Durante décadas pensámos que a capacidade no cérebro é geneticamente determinada, e agora ficou claro que é uma questão de estilo de vida», explicou Terry Horne, que aconselha as pessoas a seguirem um «conceito de vida» chamado BLISS (prazer corporal, alegria, envolvimento, satisfação e sexo, na sigla em inglês) para aumentar a performance mental.

Outros indicadores úteis serão não fumar «charros», assistir a telenovelas ou conviver com pessoas que constantemente se queixam da vida. «Misture-se com pessoas que o façam rir. Internet pode esgotar capacidade em dois anos


Vídeos e outros tipos de conteúdos estão a causar sobrecarga na web

A Internet pode estar prestes a esgotar a sua capacidade. Mais dois anos e a velocidade a que estamos habituados na web ser apenas uma boa lembrança.
O estudo caiu como uma bomba no meio e mostra que a abundância de novos vídeos e outros tipos de conteúdos na web pode causar esta sobrecarga até 2010.
A não ser que a infraestrutura que suporta os ISP, e que é no fundo a espinha dorsal da Internet seja reforçada, que é o mesmo que falar em vários mil milhões de euros de investimento, o dobro do que era suposto.


E o caso é particularmente mais grave nos Estados Unidos. O vídeo é um dos culpados deste aumento exponencial de conteúdos na Internet e a responsabilidade de manter a rede em crescimento está nas mãos dos backoboners providers, que são no fundo a espinha dorsal da rede, com ligações entre todos os pontos de acessos dos fornecedores de Internet e que, de forma global, formam a grande web.
Mas não é só de técnicos que a rede vai precisar para fazer estas extras «na moradia que tem já muitos quartos», já que o congresso norte-americano também tem uma palavra a dizer, explica um especialista na matéria.


Segundo o presidente da Internet Innovation Alliance (IIA), o congresso estará a equacionar passa por cobrar taxas que ajudem a aumentar a capacidade da própria Internet. Para este especialista, se os consumidores pagam taxas elevadas para serviços de telecomunicações, impostos sobre álcool e tabaco, então poderiam também contribuir com algum desse «bolo» para poder renovar o quarto dos fundos ou fazer mesmo mais um anexo.
O presidente da IIA está, contudo, certo que até 2010 será encontrada uma solução para fazer face a este excesso de desenvolvimento.

Devido à popularidade do post anterior sobre esta matéria (só e apenas - não tenho qualquer gosto pessoal em divulgar notícias deste calibre - naaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh), segue a conclusão anunciada de uma campanha que nunca deveria ter existido, de uma operadora que deveria ter sido "OPAda" e bem "OPAda"!

TMN termina campanha «Telemóveis a 6 euros» antes de tempo


A TMN terminou a campanha «Telemóveis a 6 euros» na semana passada devido à distribuição antecipada do «stock» de aparelhos.

Fonte da operadora confirmou à «Agência Financeira» o final antecipado, sublinhando que «o stock de 1.500 telemóveis previstos gastaram-se antes de tempo» devido «à adesão acima das expectativas».
A campanha devia terminar apenas esta quinta-feira, dia 15 de Novembro.

Depois de uma primeira fase em que os participantes podiam aceder aos aparelhos a partir de uma inscrição no portal oficial da operadora, a TMN transpôs o concurso para diversas lojas da marca.

Logo no primeiro dia, centenas de pessoas colocaram-se à porta do estabelecimento no Parque das Nações, em Lisboa, para acederem a apenas 250 telemóveis a seis euros (e cujo valor de mercado se situa entre os 89,90 euros e os 259,90 euros).

A adesão em massa do primeiro dia, que gerou alguns tumultos e obrigou a intervenção policial, levou a aumentar o número de telemóveis reservados para esse dia.

Contudo, «mesmo sem esse episódio, o concurso teria terminado antes igualmente», disse a mesma fonte à «Agência Financeira».

Lógico!
Com telemoveis a 6 euros o que esperavam? que não houvesse adesão!? Sou eu que estou parvo? Pena é que a campanhá da TMN não seja abrangente a todos os utilizadores, apenas para alguns como os residentes e Lisboa. E como sempre o resto é paisagem!
loltava mais que visto... agora que todos os colaboradores, amigos e familiares tem um tlm novo, ja se pode dar por terminada a campanha.... ehehehe

A TMN é uma vergonha neste país, faz sempre isto em todas as campanhas...Comigo com pc e-escola TMN, tiveram 2 meses para me enviar o portatil e quando chegou ja nao dava.... Vergonha

Tapar os olhos ao ceguinho...
Mas afinal isto é o quê, publicidade "mais" que enganosa, em qualquer uma das duas ditas promoções dos 6?, tentei aproveitar a promoção e nunca deu.... como a 99,9% das pessoas que tentaram.Nesta última promoção, eu só consegui saber que o local era a loja do Parque das Nações, através da "Agencia Financeira", pois nem assim, depois da grande falha da outra campanha, eu consegui aceder ao site da TMN.... é triste....
